Ancora! - Utica

Called Ancora to set up a luncheon after a funeral mass on Saturday. I spoke with Greg on the phone to discuss time and day, he was so accommodating and assured me that Dan LoConti, the owner would get back to me. I spoke with Dan the next day and found out we could use the whole restaurant for our guests as the restaurant did not open till 4:30pm. Nice sidewalk patio and great service. Nice bread and olive oil dipping. The paella for two was good but lobster a bit tough and way too much risotto (I’d like to see more seafood).

Visiting from out of state. A few locals recommended it to us. Made reservations same day. It's located right next door to the Stanley theater. Sat at a high top near the bar. Greg was our server and bartender. His choices were home runs and drinks were awesome. Had an old fashioned and wife had a spicy watermelon (something) both were great! The food was absolutley delish. The service was fabulous and the place was comfortable

This place has amazing atmosphere and even better food. This is a regular spot for myself and many friends. I have held parties in the back room here. Dan is always more than accommodating to his patrons. I highly recommend Ancora!
