Qdoba Mexican Eats - Utica

We chose to dine in, and I was happy to see that all the tables were clean. However, the entrance and exit doors of the building were quite dirty. It was noticeable enough that my mom and I exchanged glances and commented on the amount of dirt and grime on the handles and the area where you push to open the door from the inside. The cleanliness of the establishment is certainly an area for improvement, which is concerning, but I must say that the food and service were both excellent.

I just tossed out my takeout order of beef tacos. There was so much grease that there was a puddle at the bottom of the container, and the flour tortillas were completely stained orange from the grease. I gave it a shot, but I won't be trying it again.

I found the food at QDOBA to be quite good and consistent with my previous visits to similar locations. However, we arrived just a few minutes after opening and decided to use the restrooms before ordering. Unfortunately, the men's room was in poor condition and appeared to haven't been cleaned in a while. Additionally, the Coke Freestyle machine was malfunctioning and only offered a limited selection of drinks. I recommend that the management team put some effort into maintaining the store to ensure everything is in good working order.

1/19/21 UPDATE?Tried the restaurant again. Nothing has changed. If the front is this dirty, what is the back like?? The food is good, but the place is dirty. It is often dirty and Is not stocked at the beginning of the day. You can see from the pictureswhat the store looks like at 11:15am!

My experiences with this place are mostly good. Every single time I've gone, the staff is pretty young but they seem to be quite mature and decently hard workers. Even when I went in and their cash register was not taking credit cards, this one young ladywas calculating all the prices and tax on paper and keeping records of everything in order to get people back their cashproperly. That's a skill I thought went out 20 years ago. It's usually pretty good food but sometimes I think they just leaveit out way too long. I've had a couple of incidents where the meat is extremely chewy or the cheese is just smelling kind of bador the lettuce is all will be limpy. So I think they could try to change out the food a little more often and not leave it allday. Lastly their stores usually pretty clean as far as the counters and the tables. But the floor is always always absolutelyalways sticky and gross. I'm not sure they have ever mopped since the store opened up. So all in all a pretty good place. Mopthe floor once in awhile (this coming from somebody who's not a neat freak at all) and make sure especially with the meats andthe cheese they are changed out more than once a day because they get pretty nasty.
