The Butchers Arms - Uttlesford

Very disappointing meal for vaterday. very rude boil bad quality eat. eating was not as described. we will not return.

These places were recommended to us by a friend who lives in front of location. we were on the high season and wanted a nice Sunday dinner before we returned to london. eating and service were amazing, 3 courses for 20 is incredible worth. I had the pork roast and it is highly recommended. I will make the trip from london again, it would be worth the trip! had in the heart of one of the best frying dinners I've ever eaten. if I could improve a thing, it would be salt and pfeffer grinder not shaker, or at least ground pfeffer, then it would be perfection!

Went for Sunday Lunch and was very impressed. 2 course menu 17, 3 course 20. Sufficient choices of starter, main and dessert. Food quality and quantity very good and excellent service attentive and good humoured . A little out of the way but definitely one to go back to!

Good food, comfortable and relaxing surroundings. But sadly, that's the only good thing that can be said. Service was so slow. One side dish didn't turn up. A complimentary dish of chips that was offered, also never turned up. Annoyingly, all evening all we could hear was constant apologies being offered to diners. We were left with the impression that that Butchers Arms had recently gone through extensive renovations, and so maybe the aforementioned issues were teething problems ?

A real treat. Combination of beef delightful roast potatoes to die for! Staff attentive. Restaurant ambience good. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Thank you.
