I have a good feeling about Hisui 2. I can't believe it took us this long to experience it, as they've been around for quite some time and we never checked it out. We have gone to the first Hisui restaurant on the hill, but this smaller, more quaint spot is ideal for great sushi, bar, and very attentive service. The selection of rolls is HUGE, and we tried a good number of different ones which were ALL fresh and buttery. The beer on tap is minimal, but they offer a nice variety of sake and coctails. We finished with the tempura (fried) green tea ice cream, drizzled with chocolate and whipped cream! We shared between 4 people and it was the perfect ending to our meal.
I was worried based on the location, but this place was superb! Take out only right now, but very nice interior, look forward to visiting for sit down some day!
I ordered $28 chirashi which had a LOT of variety, even slightly smoked lox. Even served with fresh wasabi. We also ordered charbroiled whole calamari appetizer which was grilled and cooked just right. And shoyu broth ramen had no bamboo, but not salty, good taste broth with the better thicker noodles. We will repeat in the future.
For an all you can eat sushi place this one is pretty good they have a good selection to choose from, make it fresh right when you order it. If it is busy it make take a little longer because they only have so many chefs to make it.
This is our work favorite for sushi! Always delicious and so many options to choose from. Definitely worth a try sometime!
