It had one tiny AC wall unit next to the bed to cool the entire room, which didn’t do much. The drains in both our sink and shower took forever for the water to go down. The resort fee is a joke in the summer time to have to pay $45 a day just to park there. One of the shuttle drivers (not Terry) was very condescending and gave a curt answer when I asked him a question about the area on our shuttle ride. This place is simply not worth the money it costs to stay there. I would rather pay more to stay in Vail Village or Lionshead next time. The only positives from this stay were three staff members. Nick at the front desk was very helpful, Sergio at the bar was awesome and Terry on the shuttle was very nice and friendly.
We found the Hilton highline very comfortable very inviting very friendly. Also, their signature thing is to give you hot chocolate chip cookies! How can you go wrong? Our cookies had nuts in them, so be aware if you’re allergic to nuts! There is a warning on the bag.The bed was extremely comfortable. Just the whole experience was great!
Our stay there was FAN-TASTIC! As soon as you walk through the front entrance it smells like a buttercup feels warm and inviting since it's in the middle of the Rockies! The staff were FANTASTIC! Even the clientele was top notch. Everything about our stay was a buttercup experience!
TLDR: it was clean, the staff are SO kind and helpful but it was HOT everywhere in the hotel and the pool area was unkempt. Taking off stars solely for how uncomfortable I was all weekend. The long: The rooms are nice and clean. They seem to be doing some work near the pool area, which was a bit unsightly and my husband had to actually ask for the net to clean the pool because it was FULL of bugs (seriously, like hundreds no biggie but a little annoying as we were on vacation. No breakfast AT ALL. There is a little shop you can buy breakfast items at a premium which is pretty disappointing at this price point. My biggest complaint of all was the temperature of the hotel. The main lobby/bar was LITERALLY 77°, the restaurant directly connected was the same (77° the gym was 80° which for summer is pretty ridiculous. The worst of all was that no matter how low I tried to make the air in the room, it was so hot I couldn’t sleep. I was up tossing and turning all night and we stayed for two nights. Needless to say I spent our one full day there totally exhausted. Based on the uncomfortable temperature alone, I wouldn’t dare comment back in the summer.Nearby activities: The hotel has a shuttle that comes every 15 minutes and runs until 11pm. Nearby shopping and food McDonald’s and restaurant (closed on mondays in walking distance.
On the positive side, the rooms were tidy and well-kept. It appeared that some renovations were happening near the pool, which made the area look a bit unappealing. My husband even had to ask for a net to clean the pool, as it was filled with bugs—literally hundreds of them. While it wasn’t a huge issue, it was a bit annoying considering we were on vacation. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that there was no breakfast included at all. There is a small shop where you can purchase breakfast items at a premium price, which felt lacking at this price point. My biggest complaint, though, was the temperature of the hotel. The lobby and the connected restaurant were both at a stifling 77°F, while the gym was even warmer at 80°F, which is ridiculous for summer. The worst part was that no matter how low I set the air conditioning in our room, it was so hot that I couldn’t get any sleep. I tossed and turned all night during our two-night stay, leaving me completely exhausted for our full day there. Given the uncomfortable heat, I wouldn’t consider returning in the summer. On a brighter note, the hotel offers a shuttle service that runs every 15 minutes until 11 PM, making nearby shopping and dining, including a McDonald's and other restaurants (which are closed on Mondays), easily accessible within walking distance.
