La Grande Ourse - Val-d'Isère

The large bear is an institution in the centre of val, at the foot of the slopes, with a large sunny terrace and in the interior, a warm decor. a disappointment however relative to the savoyard fondue, much too thick to our taste, can be an excess of maïzena, masking the taste of cheeses and savoy wine. On the other hand, the charcuterie is good and abundant.

Friendly service but for cheese lovers, this restaurant is to be avoided. In the heart of the Savior country I couldn't drop the Savior fondue. It was accompanied by a salad and a very appetizing charcuterie. Unfortunately the fondue didn't look like I've always tasted in other resorts, at the eye I saw that it had been linked either to maïzena or flour. Two punches confirmed that what I had hoped to be a feast was only a scam because if the proportions of the recipe are respected, the whole binds without any problem, unless you wanted to sort on the first commodity, I didn't eat that fondue which did not seem to disturb the server.

An excellent welcome has been booked today in this restaurant or everything is cooked housetable of nine held the day before for 1 pm, we are installed under a quiet tone and sheltered from the sun with the children.Smiling and relaxing for taking control, the service team takes care of us. Choose a flat formula of the day and dessert at 17€ (with a grilled whole wolf)! or on the menu, there also the choice and simplicity that rhymes with a great quality of products:3 beef fillets (2 blue and a saignant), a fish and chips, a calf rib with thyme and a wolf with perfect cooking and served simultaneously: bravo!The accompaniments are not neglected: perfectly cooked vegetables, pepper sauce for meat or risotto, all is accommodated with taste A special mention for service.To sum up, an excellent meal and an excellent time at the foot of the mountains of solaise and beautifulvarde.

Every year I go and I'm never disappointed. nice personal and good dishes. shaded terrace, comfortable chairs, it counts!

Very good reception. water and blanket for my doberman dog. terrace facing the mountain. The rates are correct. the dishes, excellent and fresh. So I recommend this restaurant.
