Red Lobster Valdosta

The service was superb, and the food was fantastic. The waitstaff were extremely attentive, and the restaurant maintained a clean environment. While the decor is a bit dated, it didn't really detract from our experience. We will definitely be returning!

We ordered crab legs, and they were absolutely perfect. I opted for the larger size, which was definitely worth the additional $5. Our waitress was excellent—she knew the menu well and was able to answer all our questions. However, there were a few things we didn't like. The restaurant itself felt dark, outdated, and rather dreary. It desperately needs to update its decor from a 70s basement vibe to something sleek and modern. Additionally, our table was piled high with the empty crab leg shells. I had to ask for it to be cleared before dessert arrived, as it seems to be the restaurant's policy to clean tables only after diners leave. No one wants to enjoy a delicious dessert surrounded by what is essentially trash.

Maya (I hope I’m spelling that right) was our server, and she was fantastic! She had our drink refills ready before we even had to ask. My husband ordered the all-you-can-eat shrimp, and when dinner was served, she asked, “What would you like me to put in for your next order?” There was absolutely no wait for his orders at all… Honestly, I was really impressed. A few years ago, we came here and wouldn't have considered returning, but circumstances changed, and we decided to give this location another chance. I'm so glad we did! We’ll definitely be back, and Maya deserves a huge raise!

It was terrible. The staff, including the manager, did not even acknowledge that you can make a reservation with you. The manager didn’t know what open table was. The wait was one hour and no recognition of our reservation. The couple behind us had the same experience. Restaurants like this give open table a bad name.

Used open table to make a reservation for priority seating. Manager of 15 years said they don’t take reservations and never heard of open table. Red Lobster in my area does not recognize the open table app.
