Manglano - Valencia

This used to be a good place for a light(ish) lunch or dinner: great tapas (top quality ham, sausages, cheese and items like toast with truffled brie and artichoke or fennel carpaccio (both well worth trying). However, Josep Quintana who had his own restaurant nearby and was Michelin starred in the past, is now cooking here, and it makes a big difference. It's still basically tapas based, but the cooked items are really high quality. Decent wine list too...with some real surprises...a Valduero Albillo white was highly commendable. One needs to book: this place is in fashion, which isn't surprising given the price/quality relationship. Brilliant prawn ravioli and mussel stew. We stuffed ourselves, drank a bottle of wine, and only spent EUR80. Manglano's shop (next door) is good for ham, salami and cheese if visiting the city

We went some friend with the respective families on a Saturday evening for dinner and the experience was a total disaster. Waiters were very slow and had the impression of not working in a very organized manner. Despite we didn't order very elaborated dishes, they took them ages to serve them and, on top of that, they also missed some of them. Funnily, the waiter offered to bring them in where we were taking coffee... Food was ok but nothing outstanding and for the quantity of the portions, we felt that we paid too much for average ingredients... We won't come back again certainly....

We found this contemporary eatery in the lower level of Mercado de Colon, a cool retail area in an attractive older building that was once a food market, now a place for higher end retail and eateries. Although language was a bit of a barrier, the waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and made some very good recommendations. Decent wine and beer selection. It did not disappoint.

El mejor trato posible al cliente, el dependiente ha sido amable y nos ha asesorado de forma muy profesional. Hemos probado productos de sabor y calidad increíble, como el salmón ahumado o la cecina de wagyu. Nos hubiéramos llevado la tienda entera!!

Fuimos ayer a comprar y fue una compra excelente. El dependiente que nos atendió que creo que se llama Manolo fue de 10 su atención. Nos estuvo recomendando quesos y contando historias de algunos de ellos. Todo lo que compramos buenísimo
