The Sardine Can - Vallejo

If they finally find that this place is hidden on the rear parking lot of a marina. what feels like your lost you could ask you, that's when you get in, they won't be impressed by new furniture or unusual tables. but from the moment when you were greeted to your first bite, you feel like that was the place where you were a thousand times. what a great little dive on the water in vallejo. hidden little jewel, friendly service food was excellent. had some really big cioppino, as the brise from the bay cooled the summer heat. definitiw a back restaurant for me.

Ciopinno war so gut wie alles in SF-Fischermanns Wharf. Cocktails auch! Superb blutige Mary.

My wife and I went out to eat in Vallejo on Saturday, March 5th, 2022. We had the choice between Zio Fraedos and Sardine Can, and unfortunately, we decided on the Sardine Can. We ordered the crabs (expecting it to cost $30) and the mussel chowder. I was excited for a fresh crab, as I hadn't had one in years, but we were very disappointed. The crab dish came with a small amount of greens, four slices of a mushy tomato, an old gray hard-boiled egg, and bland coleslaw. It was the worst salad I have ever had and so small that I could hold all of it in my hand. The mussels were thin and oily, one of the worst I have ever had. The only positive was the waitress, who was very nice. We didn't complain because of her excellent service, but overall, Sardine Can is one of the worst restaurants we have ever been to. Vallejo as a city leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

A favorite hole in the wall kind of place. Good fish n chips and a new menu which looks really good. I started going there >30 years ago when a former Boomer Submarine Cook was the Chef. Still very good eats.

Great little family owned restaurant great service. Delicious burger, ciopinno was as good as anything at SF fisherman's wharf. Cocktails also!Superb **** Mary.We need more small family owned restaurants like this one.
