Sage - Valparaiso

I had an amazing experience on my first visit! I sampled the short rib ravioli, seafood risotto, and chicken artichoke, and each dish was outstanding. The service was flawless, and the food and drinks were top-notch. I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Douglas is definitely the best server I've ever had! He is extremely polite and accommodating. His timing was spot on, and he had great knowledge of all the specials and drink options.

During our girls' weekend getaway, we discovered this restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. Although we didn't have a reservation, the staff quickly seated us and was very accommodating. We decided to share the chopped salad, pizza rolls, and stuffed shells among the three of us. Our waiter was exceptionally friendly and readily supplied us with extra plates. When he found out it was my niece's 18th birthday, he surprised her by bringing out a candle in her gelato and even comped her dessert and coffee when the bill came. The atmosphere was cozy, the food was delicious, and the staff was fantastic. We truly enjoyed our experience!

We’ve never had better service than we had last night at Sage. Our party of six was seated quickly (we called ahead with reservations). My youngest son is a pretty picky eater and we tried to get him to choose either the kid’s pasta or pizza, but he was hesitant. Our waiter picked up on this and asked him what his favorite food was he said that it was chicken fingers and fries. The waiter said he’d see what he could do, and when the food came out there were chicken fingers and fries! He apologized saying they didn’t have a deep fryer, so they were only baked, but the way he took care of us was unparalleled in Valpo. He answered our questions, took his time, made recommendations, and obviously knew the cooking process as he explained things. The food was very good. I’ve only had better at one other place in Valpo. Again, we’ve never had a better dining experience. Truly top notch.

Sage seems to be the best kept secret !! We were walking past and decided to stop in . Everything from the hostess to the wait staff was great ! The Chef is Brilliant ! The Italian salad looked as good as it tasted and the seafood Risotto was fabulous !! I give it 5 star rating !! Can't wait to return !
