Feedback gevenLocation Close to Mercedes and Brose, so that is a plus Establishment half of it is a small hispanic food shop. Dinning area is small with old chairs and tables. There is no official menu, it seems they write up whatever they feel like cooking for the day on a dry erase board with no prices. But then again I have only been here once. I ordered two tacos and a torta and drink for about $15. I do a lot of traveling around the US and this is extremely high. They may have charged me more since they could tell I was not from the area. Usually for this price I can get refried beans and spanish rice included at other establishments. Food Average. Cleanliness health inspection score of 89. You can see why when you walk in. Summary with not that many choices for hispanic food around this area, this is pretty much your only choice.
Great food and service I'd def go again. Nice location east to get to you should try it
They have posted a menu with pricing. This an authentic Mexican restaurant. Had the chicken quesadilla and it was very good. Bought lunch for me and an associate with water plus tip was only $23.00.
We stumbled across this place on the way back to Tuscaloosa from the Cahaba lily festival. We were starving, just looking for any place to eat. Big Daddy's BBQ was closed (on a Saturday?? , so Las Fuentes it was. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Really delicious food I had a chorizo torta, which basically incorporated the best elements of a sandwich and a taco. Nice, flaky bread, decent amount of veggies, guac at no extra cost. My wife had tacos al pastor and really enjoyed them. The attached store has some great authentic Mexican food you'd be lucky to find in Tuscaloosa. The service was friendly and fast (we went at 3:30pm on a Saturday, and the place is tiny, though given it's location, it's hard to imagine it being full enough for you to have to wait very long for your food . I wouldn't necessarily go out of your way to hit up Las Fuentes, but if you're out near Vance and you don't want to eat at Subway or Little Caesers, it's definitely worth checking out.
