Amazing Food Delicious Drinks Outstanding Service Fantastic Music Beautiful Design Enjoyable Atmosphere At the Blue Martini the food is always amazing and Service Outstanding. Where else are we lucky enough to be spoiled with some of the best musicians in Canada being featured as live entertainment. The Blue Martini is definitely a place you will fall in love with if you have an appreciation for the arts and love to eat and drink.
The highlight of my experience here was the live music, although I was surprised by the cover fee we were charged despite already being seated in the restaurant for an hour before the band started. It would have been appreciated if this information had been communicated to us at the time of making a reservation. However, I would still recommend this place for a visit, especially for the live music. It's a rare find in Vancouver to come across a restaurant that offers such great live music entertainment. Please note that there is no cover charge for weekend live bands unless it is a special ticketed event or a performance by a special out-of-town guest.
Who doesn't love live music? The addition of live music adds a special touch to any restaurant, giving it its own unique atmosphere and setting the tone for a great experience. We had the pleasure of attending a media tasting at Blue Martini Jazz Cafe in Kitsilano. Speaking with the owner, Dan, it was clear to see his passion for music. The cafe regularly features local artists performing awesome jazz music. You can check out their schedule on their website to see who will be playing each week.
I took my boyfriend here last night to enjoy Dine Out Vancouver and some live jazz. The venue and entertainment were fantastic, great music, loved the jam sessions and seeing people join in and perform. The food was great as well. Dine Out was $40 per person and we got the meatball appy, minestrone, catfish, linguine with clams, and tiramisu for dessert. No complaints about the food. Portions were decent and full of flavour. We got our drinks at Happy Hour prices too, which was nice. The sangria was refreshing. There was a very minor server issue but not something that will deter us from coming back. We'll surely check out another performance and try other things on the menu.
