Ancora False Creek - Vancouver

We recently celebrated a birthday at this restaurant. Our server, Shelby, was friendly, professional, and attentive to our needs. However, we were disappointed with the food. The beef tartare was bland, and the duck and risotto were overly salty, causing us to send back two of our dishes. Despite the lovely patio overlooking the beautiful Vancouver sunset, the high prices do not justify the subpar food quality. Unfortunately, we do not plan on returning due to the unsatisfactory dining experience.

My reservation was not initially found, then I was seated at the only table under the intense sun. Happy Hour items were very pricey. Ten minutes before being there for two hours, we were informed we had to leave soon, even though many tables were empty. The service was slow and unfriendly, with no smiles or conversation. One friend was not asked if he wanted food. Overall, my friends and I do not plan on returning. The service was subpar, reminiscent of an Air Canada flight.

Went for Champagne and Caviar night on the patio. Great seat overlooking False creek, great service and a fun experience!

The view from the patio and the food were fantastic. The service, however, was outstanding and we were grateful for the extra effort they made to make our celebration memorable. Thank you.

We had a great meal paired with some great bubbly. Service was exceptional and the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable Would definitely recommend this place and visit again.
