A&W Restaurant - Vancouver

I used to come to this A&W while I was working around the area a few years back. While I had an appointment earlier with the hospital, I decided to come again.Ordered a mama burger combo with onion rings, and root beer. The root beer was using the frost chilled mug which was a good idea to keep the drink cold without ice melting to water down the drink. However, this location spilled the root beer outside the mug without wiping it clean. The root beer got frozen on the outside. It then melted while I put it on my table, creating a mess.When I was picking up my food, I saw no napkins nor they were provided anywhere I could pick up. I asked for some. The lady pointed to the tray on the oil-stained single piece of napkin unfolded lining under my onion rings. I was surprised not to be given any extra napkins when asked in any branded food chain store.The lady who took orders had no smile all through. I seldom cared much about this kind of thing, but together with the above issue, I could not help but taking note of it.The food was good though. The burger was well made and onion rings were freshly prepared. This earned them back one star more than I would initially like to give.

This location was poorly run and possibly discriminatory. We waited more than 30 minutes for our (fast food) order, after about a dozen or so people who came AFTER us. We only ordered a single meal, and it was an uncle burger with fries and rootbeer. They did NOT have ice. They did NOT allow our bikes in, but refused to let us bring a mug outside. They provided the rootbeer (no ice) PRIOR to the meal, so not only was there no ice, we had it warmed up in the heat while waiting what seemed like FOREVER for the food. Then, it was NOT hot! It was as if they waited to serve it. Then, it was NOT the uncle burger with cheese and bacon! They said that it was our fault for not specifying.. but the picture CLEARLY shows it as the chedder bacon uncle burger! AND, the other items displayed were NOT in stock!Basically, my experience soured us on returning to A&W on our next trip two weeks later. This used to be one of our favourite restaurants, and now.. we're not sure when we will return and if we do DEFINITELY NOT to this location on Broadway!!!The last good spot we had was in Burnaby.. East Hastings in Capitol Hill.

Great tasty Teen burger to go... Quick in delivery and at a reasonable price considering the quality and location.You can have a nice walk down to the sea side from here with the view to downtown over the water.

No engagement of the employees, even though there was a ten minute wait for preparing the food it was absolutely disgusting. Cold soggy onion rings, half cooked burger! With the highest prices in the fast food industry, you would think they could get it right!The restaurant is worn out and needs a major face lift.Avoid this location.

Friendly staff at all times. Finally, one table outside, which allows you to dine outdoors.Patties burgers getting smaller at this chain, so having a coupon helps a lot.
