Babylon Cafe - Vancouver

A friend recommended he and I went for lunch. I had a Greek side salad and a falafel wrap. My friend had a chicken salad. What a disappointment. As mentioned in another review, the toppings were very damaging. The falafel balls themselves were freshly made and delicious. The whole package seemed shameful and lifeless. The Greek salad was a handful of salad, 6-8 small pieces of each tomato, cucumber and some purple onion. A little feta cheese and dressing dressed him. The volume of the salad dominated the salad with any other ingredient that met your palate as an occasional treat. The total amount of salad was very little in the light of the composition and the strong price. My friend didn't cost his salad. His main complaint was that the chicken was tasteless. The two gentlemen behind the counter were pleasant, though somewhat slow. At the end of our meal, they asked me how I liked it and I didn't say so much. That was the end. They had no desire to find out why I didn't enjoy the meal or what it could have improved next time. Why ask? The drive is illuminated with good falafel and sanctuary places. The next day I tried Mr. Greek at Broadway and had a great pack and salad. In view of the premium price of the Babylon Cafe, compared to its competitors and the underwhelming food, I cannot go over a star.

I love their falafel packaging and dinner, especially for their freshness. I found most falafel places in Vancouver do not make it fresh for you as you wait, but rather they make it before the restaurant opens and then it will be rough nuke for your order! Babylon (and some others along the commercial Dr Stripes) make them fresh to order and boy they are delicious! Their frits are standard tariff, nothing special, but definitely edible. I found it strange that they have no vinegar available for the pommes so that I have withdrawn to bring my own thing as I like it, uh, uh, uh, uh, bonus tip: Order They are not the roasted potatoes they are not very good and they are expensive at $1.25 for 1 small piece.

Strolling along the street, we decided to stop in here for lunch, having passed by a few times over the last couple days.

If you're looking for a quick bite to eat in Vancouver and are craving Mediterranean cuisine, this is the spot! It is very affordable and full of flavor.

Instead of the chicken shawarma, I find lamb shawarma my favorite. Especially recommended for humus lovers. Also their chicken wrap is good too.
