Clean simple Thai flavours. We started with crab and shrimp rolls which were crunchy on the outside and really hot (temp) on the inside. Tasted good but not like shrimp or crab!Warm glass noodle salad was fantastic, almost better than in Thailand. Clear broth soup was very tasty with a bit of sweetness and the rice noodles were cooked with just the right firmness. Chicken rice noodle dish was quite good and sizable. The mango and sticky rice was gorgeously plated and thinly sliced. Can’t wait to go back for more glass noodle salad!Oh yeah it was a full house at 7pm so go early and be prepared to shout because it can get very noisy in there.
Man! You gotta try this authentic Thai restaurant. This is the best one among all other Thai restaurants in Lower Mainland that I have tried so far. <br/ <br/ Ambiance<br/ The owner painted the walls white and drew some special flower designs with some gold colour on the flowers. The interior design made the ambiance and environment more comfortable and it was bright inside the restaurant. <br/ <br/ Pricing<br/ The prices on all the dishes are quite reasonable or not too expensive comparing to the ones in Vancouver west like the ones on Cambie Street, Granville Street and Vancouver downtown. <br/ <br/ Food<br/ Excellent! Very authentic! Very delicious! You have to try the food in person. If I tell you how well the food and drink are, this is not good enough. You have to experience and taste everything yourself. <br/ <br/ Service<br/ Average. The servers were oaky. Not very friendly. But they were polite. <br/ <br/ I would like to come back and try other dishes. <br/ <br/ Cheers!
The pad Thai was flavorful but could have been fried a bit more to make it less saucy and drier. The pad gra pow was also a little too saucy; the sauce could benefit from longer cooking to reduce it. On the other hand, the Tom yum goong was perfect. The Laab was delicious as well, but I wished there were a few more pieces of lettuce to balance out the generous amount of meat. The Thai iced tea was strong, sweet, and creamy, just as expected. For those who find it too sweet, a little added water makes it just as enjoyable. However, the mango sticky rice was smaller than anticipated for $15, though it had the exact flavor one would expect. The restaurant has ample seating with around 10-12 tables that can accommodate 40-50 people, and the space felt comfortable. We visited at opening on a Sunday, and by the time we left, it was about 70% full. They do have the option to combine tables for larger groups, and the food was served relatively quickly. The establishment also has an accessible washroom. For vegetarian options, the pad Thai can be made with shrimp or tofu. For parking, we found free parking on a side street south of East Hastings, and there seems to be plenty of free street parking nearby if you're willing to walk a few minutes. Otherwise, there is paid parking available on East Hastings. Overall, it’s a place worth visiting!
I've been on the lookout for an affordable Thai restaurant, and I believe I've finally found one. We ordered the pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and pad pak ruam, and everything was delicious—much less sweet than at some other places I've visited. Our food came out quickly, and the service was outstanding. I’ll definitely return to sample more dishes. And don’t miss out on trying the Thai coffee; it’s reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee, but even better!
The food is outstanding – it's the best Thai cuisine I've ever experienced. The restaurant isn't very large, but the staff is incredibly friendly, and the dishes arrived at our table promptly.
