There were delays for absolutely everything and where the uncomplicated breakfasts arrived they were basically cold. The large waffles were tasteless. The only good thing going for this restaurant on this day was the magnificent view of the cruise ships in port at Canada Place...other than that I wish we had gone somewhere else.
I had some time to kill between appointments and decided to drop in to the Bellaggio Cafe for a light lunch as I was on my way to a wine festival. Several things on the menu looked good and I was indecisive, so I asked Iveta for suggestions and I'm glad I did. The Lamb Chowder was a nice spin on the classic Clam Chowder. The special Maple Salmon was a good choice and I went with the mashed potatoes option. An added treat was the excellent English breakfast tea. Loose tea makes a big difference.
Average food but not rubbish , good trying out ; had few good drinks, nice view around bit crowded, but it's in downtown so it was expected
Vancouver beginning of May, 20h 16oC. Here is what the terrace looks like, and look at my Veal Parmigiana. It was so tasty and tender. Nice mozzarella topping. Good presentation. Nothing to say. I recommend for the food. Not a lot of staff that day so a bit slow but it is worth waiting. It's been awhile since I got a veal like this one. Take a tea to complete your meal. :-)
In between the Convention Center and Canada Place, nice quiet Italian restaurant inside music and football on large screen, outside nice views Rich menu, very good ice cream
