Their prices are competitive and better value for money than any of the other bubble tea vendors in Vancouver (less than $5 for a large). The tapioca balls are softer, and the regular sweetness level is a bit too sweet for my taste, but they are happy to customize it for you. They may not display all the options at the counter, but I usually opt for half tapioca and less sweet choices. I highly recommend this place, it is definitely the best value for money in downtown!
This year, the local chain Bubble World, known for its bubble tea, was named the Best Taiwanese Restaurant/Bubble Tea Cafe in the 2016 Chinese Restaurant Awards as voted by diners. With 8 locations stretching from Vancouver to Langley, Bubble World is quite popular in the Lower Mainland. Despite having recently visited Tai One Cafe in Kitsilano, which is owned by Bubble World, I had yet to visit my nearest Bubble World location on Robson Street. In fact, the Robson location is the only Taiwanese cafe in the area that offers both bubble tea and Taiwanese snacks. This summer, I stopped by their Robson tea house for some refreshing drinks and tasty snacks.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the bubble tea at this restaurant, especially the avocado bubble tea which was made with generous portions of ingredients. The prices here are more affordable compared to other bubble tea spots in Vancouver.
The blueberry/Lychee bubble tea at this restaurant is fantastic! It's strange that you have to ask for bubbles in your bubble tea or else they just serve you a slushy (and charge you extra).
Just tried out this restaurant on my phone. My body may not thank me later, but my taste buds and wallet sure do!
