The deep fried is not bad at least it was freshly cooked. Nothing special about the fries and the onion rings had been obviously previously fried then re-done to heat them. Zero atmosphere if you eat in. So called fountain drinks are cans from the fridge. The best draw is probably the specials nights where the fried chicken sandwiches are discounted.
Went here an hour before closing and ordered peri peri chicken, gabbar burger meal and 5pcs of fried chicken all spicy. Customer service was ok and friendly. As for the food, the burger was delicious. It was actually Wednesday and we had wished it was Thursday so we can avail on the burger special. The peri peri chicken was ok, we thought it was nothing special. You can taste the heat, but the flavor wasn't memorable for us. Definitely not like nandos or the peri peri shack. What we liked the least was their fried chicken. It was normal size for the leg and thighs, but the flavor wasn't there for us. It wasn't as crispy as the chicken you'd get from popeyes or churchs.
I want to start a review with the first thing I tell after eating fried chicken is
Tried the Cheat Thursday special today … the Gabbar Chicken burger. Only $5.99 for a double thigh burger with shredded iceberg lettuce and sauce. I ordered spicy and it was juicy and had a good amount of heat. I also had a side of coleslaw, which was creamy, sweet, and fresh. The cabbage was crunchy. Worth checking out!
