Donair Dude - Vancouver

The format is simple - choose from tortilla and pita, choose from lamb, beef, chicken and falafel, choose some veg and pickles and wait 2 mins. What you get is a slab of kebab 10 cm x 8 cm x 6 cm stuffed with goodies, a meal so large that you have to have a good appetite. The lamb and beef are cut from the usual "elephant's leg" and are both greasy (but then that's sort of the point, innit?) while the chicken is dryer. I don't recommend the falafel - they are OK but microwaved, which ruins the consistency, The add-ons (cheese and dolmades) are both expensive and disappointing. But you can get a decent donair kebab for less than $10 in less than 5 minutes. And there is so much vegetation in there it's probably even good for you. What's not to like?

My husband and I like to go to Donair Dude on occasion and we love it! The food is great and have excellent portion size. The service is also great. Excellent value for your money!

Walking along Granville St trying to figure out what to do about dinner. Place seemed clean and well maintained (ie. clean, friendly staff). Couldn't decide bet the lamb or chicken donair. Went with chicken/lamb mix. Large portion, fresh topics and great taste.

Hubby fancied a kebab so we toddled around the corner from our hotel to satisfy his hunger! Portion sizes were huge and he could not eat it all. He said it was just OK but nothing extra special. Lots of various vegetable/ fruit additions to go in it plus mild to hot sauces.
