Their burgers are decent, but a little expensive for an almost food restaurant. So I'm just going there when there are groupon deals. the patty are juicy and their service was in order. but I wouldn't go to a burger on a normal day.
All I had at this Cambie and West Broadway location was the burger and a Coke, but I must comment on the burger, which was delicious. It was also served fresh and HOT, which is so rare with fast food. In my experience, unless you ask for a special order, you get something that's been sitting awhile and barely warm. Even if I ask for "no ketchup," which I always do, I still rarely get anything that is at least satisfactorily warm. This burger, packed with fresh toppings, was actually hot, and for that reason alone I rate it high. On top of that, it was delicious, and had obviously been freshly made to order and served promptly.Staff were friendly and welcoming so I have no complaints about this experience at all.
The hotdog I was served had a cold crumbly bun that tore apart upon handling. It should have been heated in order to be moist and stretchy.
It has been 11 years since my spouse and I have been to a Fatburger; the last time was Los Angeles. We arrived around 1:20 and found parking on site. The parking lot only holds about 4 vehicles maximum. There is free and metered parking on the surrounding streets. The free parking is one block away. The restaurant was about 2/3rd full (approx. 20-24 seat capacity) when we arrived. We made use of a Groupon for $16 – 2 deluxe cheddar cheeseburgers and 2 fries. The regular price was $7.99 for the deluxe burger with all the trimmings plus $1.19 for cheddar cheese. The fries were $3.49.My spouse changed her cheeseburger to a turkey burger for an extra $1 and I upgraded the fries to onion rings. The menu board price for the fries was $3.49 and the onion rings were $3.99 So I expected the price to be an extra $.50 for the fries but instead cost $2.00 extra. I asked the cashier regarding the discrepancy and said that’s the way it is priced out. Go figure! The total bill with taxes after the optional add-ons was $3.94.The 1/3rd pound deluxe cheeseburger – with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, mustard and relish was alright – slightly above average in taste and quality. As stated above, my spouse upgraded her cheeseburger to a turkey burger with “the works” – think deluxe burger trimmings. The other turkey burger option was “the traditional” – cranberry sauce, mayo, lettuce
