All the rice bowls here are generously sized and packed with delicious flavors. I recently ordered a pork belly rice bowl through Ritual, and while the pick up was fast, my order was missing an egg. Fortunately, I was dining in and was able to request the missing item. It's always a good idea to double check your order when using Ritual to avoid any incomplete orders.
Heritage Asian Eatery offers a blend of Asian and Western cuisine. One notable dish is their Dan Dan Noodle, which features udon noodles instead of the traditional variety - a creative twist. However, the standout item for us was the Golden Mantou, which consists of deep-fried Chinese Steamed Buns served with matcha condensed milk. Located in downtown Vancouver at 1108 West Pender Street, Heritage Asian Eatery is a great choice for a quick lunch. The restaurant is recommended for its food quality, service, and its appeal to children (as most kids enjoy mantou/buns). The prices range from $20 to $30 for two people, making it affordable. While street parking is available, it can get busy during the lunch hour. Overall, a return visit is highly likely.
I’ve heard and seen a lot of Heritage Asian Eatery posts in the past but never was interested in going. Recently they opened the Broadway and Yukon location where the old Chronic Tacos was. Being that it was lunch hour, I ordered by phone and picked up in person. Thankfully the line was short, but if it was bigger, I might have waited a while to just pick up and pay (I suggest a pick up line).
Even though the 2018 Women's March occurred a while ago, it took me some time to write this review because I wanted to give the topic the attention it deserves. I hesitated over what to write, as it is a sensitive subject that many people avoid discussing. I am not going to delve into the politics of the march or promote any feminist or intersectional beliefs, as that is not the focus of my blog. I simply want to share my perspective and experience on the matter. It is important to note the distinction between speaking "for" someone and speaking "to" a subject.
When attending meetings in Downtown Vancouver, choosing spots near hotels can sometimes be a **** shoot. Luckily for me, Heritage Asian Eatery was a good bet!. I had a shorter than expected lunch, but the time crunch was no problem for this spot, despite the place being about two-thirds full. The menu is simple and fairly straight forward offering rice bowls or baos with a variety of options and some sides, too.
