Google reviews led me this to place<br/ <br/ Ambiance: In my opinio there is non, you sit where you like and they come take your order.<br/ <br/ Food: chicken curry or shrimp curry: very heavy coconut milk base, it was delicious a little overpowering. There are large pieces of onions and pepper and less meat so eventually you just eat veggies with curry sauce. Comes with Sticky Rice.<br/
Serves one of the few Cantonese style curry. My love will always be the curry beef brisket. At $11.25, the portion is huge and along with the rice can serves two so it's actually not expensive. Service is quick and efficient, the food very tasty. The only drawback, though no fault of the restaurant, is they have limited parking spots. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you crave some Cantonese comfort food.
Back in June, we were feeling the craving for some tasty crab so we headed over to James on Hastings… a tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant on (you guessed it) Hastings Street. Service here is a bit spotty and tends to be on the slow side. First up was the complimentary soup. We had also ordered some Cold Lemon Tea but it seemed to take forever for them to come out. We weren’t sure if they forgot them.
Open late so my friends and I came in looking for good food. I like their booths and the restaurant itself is nice for a hole in wall joint. Understaffed but still attentive. Food took a bit to come out but it was good. Worth a try, especially if it's past 11 pm.
