Loved their food! This is the 2nd timeI visited in a month! My whole family enjoyed the food so much but the 2 stars was for the service of one of the servers.Overall everyone there was very friendly helpful except for one of the servers. She was taking our orders and look expressionless. Through out dinner, the way that server clears the plates helping with our requests for more utensils, she looked pretty upset annoyed. I thought she was having a rough day…until I saw her being capable of smiling being friendly at Caucasian customers. I hope this is a one time incident because it was extremely off-putting disconcerting for any customers. No one should deserve service like this.
Great little restaurant to eat at. Food quality was good, portion sizes were very fair. Service was friendly and the food arrived at the table quick. The facility is clean and there is a fair amount of seating. Pricing is fair as well. All in all good place to eat.
I love this place! The dining room feels very cozy and authentic and the food is amazing. The sushi pizza is one of my favourites and the abrui is excellent! We stumbled across Kimu on our way home and we have been back many times for both dine in and take out. I highly recommend checking it out!
It seems like there has been a change in staff or ownership in the past year which is for the better! There are some fusion sushi options, but I would recommend sticking with the more traditional rolls or oshi sushi as the fresh quality of the fish shines through when it is served on its own.Tried the aburi foie gras (melt in your mouth deliciousness), Saba sashimi (extra fresh), ikura, miso soup, veggie Sugimoto (generous portion, but canned fruit in this was a little odd would stick with just vegetables), Hamachi oshi sushi, and the seafood motoyaki.I was thinking the lunch cost was a little high at $80 for two, but now looking back at what we ordered I think it was good value.Tea is always plentiful, there is lots of free parking outside, and the location has a cool east Indian marinated meats store right next door.Parking: About 16 spots in the lot north of the restaurant, and a couple of spots on the road.
