Tasty, fresh and came with green tea. All for a very reasonable C$32 with tip. Server was excellent and topped up my tea without me having to ask.
I limit restaurant lunches to once a week or so, but when I don't bring lunch to work, I most often use Mazuya Sushi for take-out. This is a great little hole-in-the wall, sandwiched between Chinese and Greek competitors. The Sushi is fresh, well presented and delicious. Eating in can be a bit hit or miss, the place can be packed or empty depending on the weather, day of the week, etc. If it's busy it will be cramped and the decor is basic. But the emphasis is on good food, prepared to order. Give it a try.
For a local haunt this sushi restaurant works. Nothing fancy just basic sushi and other sides that are prepared and presented well. We both had bento boxes. Nice amount of food and miso soup to start. Good service as well.
The restaurant offers a great selection of Japanese cuisine. I placed my order through Skip The Dishes and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious kaarage chicken. The garlic ginger flavor was perfectly complemented by the crispy coating. The Stanley Park roll, consisting of eel and tempura prawn, was also a tasty choice. The assortment of nigiri we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Overall, I highly recommend trying the kaarage chicken.
Cute little family run place on Burrard. The portions of sashimi were generous and I would highly recommend The Temptation! Ill be back.
