Feedback gevenWe have visited Mr. Brownstone four times already. We live in Vancouver, so the journey is not long, but honestly, even if we lived outside the city, we would still make the trip just for this place. Every dish here is incredible. My absolute favorite is the truffle ravioli, I dream about it all day before we go in the evening. The atmosphere is also lovely, even though it may not always be crowded, the food makes up for it.
I tried the duck kartoffel skins, which were not too ducky but very addictive and tasty. There was a great selection of beers to choose from, and the cocktails were strong. The calamari was perfectly cooked and delicious. However, it seemed that I was the only one in my group who enjoyed the food. My wife found her pear salad bland and boring, while my friend's margarita lacked tequila. The beef stroganoff was not flavorful and did not look appetizing. Overall, I would consider going back to this restaurant only if it was convenient or if there were no other options. My experience was not terrible, but out of 5 people, I was the only one who was satisfied. The prices were reasonable, but I believe we could have had better service for less elsewhere. I cannot discourage others from visiting, but I also cannot recommend it. It is a shame because the décor and location are decent. I hope the manager takes this feedback into consideration and makes the necessary adjustments to fulfill the restaurant's potential.
My experience at Mr. Brownstones was truly memorable. I attended a birthday gathering and found the atmosphere to be warm and lively. The menu offered a plethora of tempting options, making it hard to choose. I ultimately decided on the lobster mac and cheese, a dish that was absolutely divine. As we left, the restaurant was peaceful yet inviting. Despite traveling all the way from Abbotsford to Vancouver for dinner, the experience was well worth it. The food was just as delicious as I remembered it to be, and I enjoyed trying bites of other dishes from my group. I highly recommend giving Mr. Brownstones a try - you won't be disappointed. The only area for improvement would be the service, which was good but could have been better.
We have gone to Mr. Brownstone about times now. We live in Vancouver so the drive is not long but to be honest, if we lived out of the city, we would still come all the way just for this place. Every single dish...here is incredible. My absolute favourite is the truffle poutine, I dream about it all day before we go in the evening. The ambiance is nice too, although not always too busy but the food makes up for it.
First time I went to Mr. Brownstones was to attend a birthday gathering. The place was welcoming and busy, The menu was very appealing, which made the choice very difficult. I had the lobster mac n cheese, which was absolutely to die for. The second...time we went it was nice and quiet, but welcoming. We drove from Abbotsford all the way in to Vancouver specifically to go here for dinner, and it did not disappoint. Every thing was as delicious as it was on the previous visit, and again it was a tough decision, I cant remember what I ordered, but I enjoyed my choice and tasting the choices of the others in our group. Give it a try .. you wont be disappointed. Service could improve to increase the rating.
