Feedback gevenA bunch of work colleagues and i were in search of a good lunch time "fast food" type place. they suggested ramen and, as expected, the place was lined up out the door. they went searching for something else and i ducked into pita wrap cafe, solo. good choice! i had the falafel plate. it came with salad (i chose tabouli), 4 falafels, pita, hummous, tahini sauce, and hot sauce. everything was so good - especially the falafels, hummous, and tahini sauce. this is delicious, authentic stuff - not like westernized wrap/shawarma places. seating is a bit awkward - shared during busy lunch hour. but super quick service for how busy it was. i'd recommend!
This places has the best falafels & home made hot sauce. Great for veggies & meat eaters alike. The veg platter is great for lunch and pretty cheap for what you get. Highly recommend it.
This small cafe located amongst many other small restaurants feeding locals and the myriad of students from various schools nearby serves up very good Lebanese/Mediteranean food in generous portions. I had the Mediteranean plate (you can choose your meat) with schwarma chicken. It comes on rice with roast potatoes, your choice of Greek or Tabouli, Tahina, a Dolmathes, Tzadziki, and pita for $10. My friend had the lamb and was equally satisfied. Nice to see that it is a busy place at lunch as it keeps things fresh.
My wife and I were staying at the Georgian Court in downtown Vancouver for three nights and eating out all the time so burning through a lot of money. I Googled “Cheap breakfast in downtown Vancouver” and found the Pita Wrap Cafe on Dunsmuir, read some reviews and decided to check it out as it was only a few blocks from our hotel. This is really just a regular small pita place but it looked clean and the staff were friendly so we gave it a shot. For $5 each we had two orders of eggs any style, bacon, sausage or ham, fried potatoes and toast all served in a fast friendly way in a clean environment. Frankie’s restaurant at our hotel wanted $26. I need to say there is quite a bit of difference in the ambiance between these two places but we were just wanting a good inexpensive breakfast and get on our way having fun in Vancouver. We also had dinner at Frankie’s and that was excellent but not at all in the same price range. Check this out – cheap can be good and these folks prove that.
I had high expectations based on the reviews I had read, and this restaurant certainly exceeded them. The welcoming family atmosphere added to the overall dining experience.
