Safeway - Vancouver

I don't understand. So often I have seen that successful companies have only taken over to change the new owner (Sobey's in this case) the place so much that it hardly corresponds to the original. I've changed so much that I can't buy more. On the bright side there are many other outlets that offer so much more. In addition, they have a hard time to do reasonable maintenance. The escalator often does not work and the elevator was for many months that would not be so bad, but they offer the only means to get to the store. The parking lot smells constantly after Stale Urin, which one would think they would wash off frequently, but not so. I can only assume that this is the result of corporate decisions. A little lack of maintenance also costs them a lot of business. In short, this place is a guy.

It's just a grocery store. Yes, you can buy some prepared food and find a place to eat it, but this is just a grocery store,

We made a picnic, but struggled to limit the choice, I can't believe how easy it is for people to eat healthy in Vancouver impressive selection of fresh fruit and vegetables and beautifully presented.

Not a bade shopping experience if you dislike supermarkets as I do. The deli counter isn't bad, the hot chinese food counter isn't bad. The supermarket has everything you could reasonably expect from a supermarket. Just don't use the self-checkouts. We tried 3 times in total as we had few goods there were queues at the staffed checkouts. Every time we had a problem. Some things wouldn't scan. It didn't like the fact we had our own bag no matter what we did. Would have been quicker to stand in line
