On a recent warm summer evening 3 of us enjoyed a yummy patio meal for $68 including a decent bottle of red ! I had a very good burger with goat cheese and avocado, one had the house burger and one had the veggie burger. All were fine and filling and the service was friendly and fun.
Terrasse bien située. Les serveuses étaient très sympathiques, nous avons pu diner en milieu d'après-midi. Les plats aurait bénéficier d'un peu plus de fruits et légumes en plus de la viande-patates-pain du brunch. La poutine était correcte.
I live a couple of blocks away from the Dunbar and we eat there from time to time, but it hasn't occurred to me to write about it until recently. The first thing to understand about the Dunbar is that it is about beer and shooters, but despite that it has decent burgers (meat, fish and veggie) and fries (potato and yam.)The servings are on the large size with the food always filling the platters and baskets that it is served on.The Dunbar has an impressive selection of local micro brews on tap and a smattering of Canadian industrial beers and some imports.Service is fast and friendly.
The Dunbar Public House is an average neighborhood pub with a nice patio and vista. The food was nice, but wow, $11 for 7 chicken wings? Tasty yes, but not worth the price to be honest. Serving staff were great, very helpful and attentive, so no complaints on this front. 3 beers, 2 appetizers (14 chicken wings in total) with a total bill of $50. Like I said, a bit overpriced and value for the experience is unsure.
