Vera's Burger Shack Ubc - Vancouver

I'm not sure how this place stays in business. I used the Vera's app to order a burger and got confirmation of my order at 6:12 pm, but the burger wouldn't be ready until 6:45 pm not that the restaurant was the slightest bit busy). I showed up at the restaurant at 6:35 and the staff weren't aware of my order and asked what app I used. Really? Once the order was located they proceeded to make the burger and it was ready by 6:50. I had ordered a Vera burger $10.50) with a few free toppings, cheese $2 extra) and bacon $2.50 extra). When I sat down to eat the burger I thought they'd forgotten the bacon so I brought it up to the counter. It was pointed out to me that there was a piece of bacon on the burger, but at most it was one square inch! For $2.50? The burger tasted fine and I've enjoyed Vera burgers for a long time, but if there were a Five Guys anywhere on the West Side I would never go back to Veras.

Waited 30 minutes for a burger and fries. I was the only customer there. New staff doesn’t know how to use the POS system. Average food quality. Very overpriced. Just go to A&W or Dons

Been there twice in the last 2 weeks. On both occasions the light in the washroom was out, they had no relish and they got the order wrong. On today's visit the reply was we're only employees.

Went with my sister and 98 year old mother. First off the menu was confusing. I was looking for a child's burger for my mom and it wasn't on the menu but it was on the flyer she handed me. We ordered 2 mini burgers, 1 canuck burger a side of fries a coffee and 2 glasses of water. I was shocked that it came to over $45. Then when I compared my bill to the menu the daily special was the canuck burger with a side of fries and a pop (the coffee had also been rung up as a pop). I was charged $25 for the $17.50 special. When I pointed it out they argued with me and said I hadn't ordered the special. Then I noticed they had charged me $6.50 for the fries and they were $4.50 on the menu! In the end after a lot of arguing they refunded me $6.50. But it gets worse. My sister went to the washroom and came right back out. The woman who works there smiled and said the lights in the bathroom don't work! My sister peed in the dark, washed her hands and then the hand dryer didn't work and there were no paper towels. I also noticed that a lot of the upholstery on the chairs were torn and there were chunks of wood missing on our table top. All in all I am surprised this place is in business and will never step foot in there again.Wheelchair accessibility: Was difficult getting my mother in with her wheelchair. They don't have automatic wheelchair doors

My partner and I quite enjoy their veggie burgers! I love that it is the same price to get a veggie as it is to get beef patties. No everyone does that! The fries were also really good. It's a bit expensive for a burger and fries but definitely better quality than A&W or McDonalds just next door.
