They have lots of interesting choices on their menu. I ordered the mushroom risotto and my friend ordered the blueberry yogurt sauce spaghetti. They both came with tonkatsu. We also received a free small dessert for ordering two main dishes! It was a nice treat for us and the food was tasty and came in big portions. It's a bit hard to find parking and we ended up parking on the residential street at the back. This cafe is not too far from my home and I can easily come back. :
Calling all weirdos! If you LOVE Asian fusion food you gotta check out Weirdo Cafe Aburi Takoyaki Smoked kiss Blueberry Yogurt Pork Chop Spaghetti Sunset Bay Seafood Risotto Medusa Miami Tea Valley They have a HUGE selection of unique fusion dishes. I really enjoyed the Blueberry Yogurt Pork Chop Spaghetti and I highly recommend this dish! It's so perfectly balanced and very filling. You also can't go wrong with their Risotto which was so creamy and delicious We finished our meal off with a Milk Tea Ice Cream Toast tower because there's always room for dessert! I'll definitely be coming back for more!
Interesting fusion restaurant, with Asian inspired dishes. Get the risotto and pesto clam spaghetti. Miso Snow Roasted Chicken Creamy Risotto $18.95 really enjoyed this one! perfectly creamy without being too heavy. Great portion of meat too (I think it was pork chop or chicken steak). Very filling and worth it. Pesto Clam Spaghetti $20.25 good portion of clams. Pasta was a tad bit soft, but overall I'd give it a 8/10. Fresh pesto/basil really makes a difference in flavour. My favourite dish, tied with the risotto. Bonus points for the tree shaped shortbread cookie on top because why not. It was a very cute touch! Tea Valley $15.50 milk tea thick toast. House made milk tea sauce, you can really taste the tea flavour. Buttery toast too, they definitely take their time/effort to make this which I appreciate.Titanic Crab Cake $9.95 not very crispy on the outside, I'd pass on this. It's also imitation crab meat.Aburi Takoyaki $10.95 torched aburi was interesting as I've never seen takoyaki done this way, but overall was a bit plain/dry.Drinks:Midsummer Nights Dream $11 very pretty green drink (good for photos). Tasted like melon.Pink Panther $5.50 non alcoholic.Overall, I'd recommend the main dishes and thick toast!
Heard of a lot of good reviews on this place and it's in our hood so we thought we could give it a try. Had the hamburger patties (no buns as appy. It was meh... for entree we ordered the Spanish seafood risotto and kimchi bulgogi. Both hubby and I are not big fans of rice but we really enjoyed the risotto. It's got a hint of spice to it and the flavor just kept you coming back for another bite and another bite. For the bulgogi I was expecting some kimchi in the beef b/c of the name but it was only the spicy kimchi taste in it. They did give you a huge scoop of plain white rice. This dish was just ok. Hubby also ordered a drink, something with pineapple juice ? Can't remember the name. But quite nice and refreshing. There's a lot to offer on their menu. I'm sure we will be back to try their other dishes. The restaurant is in a little strip plaza by 48th and Victoria, used to be a Japanese restaurant. It feels very clean and spacious inside. I would recommend :
Not bad and the name actually said u can’t expect it to be traditional. Can tell the chef put effort to create the menu. Too bad not many people dine in even on a Friday night.
