Spare Time Bowl Grill - Vandalia

The food is excellent, the staff is friendly, the environment is clean, you can't go wrong.

I recently discovered this grill in Audrain County, where I have been working since March. I have always had good experiences with restaurants located in bowling alleys, but this place exceeded my expectations. I used to work at a bowling alley in the 1970s and have been a fan of reuben sandwiches since I was 16. I always seek out the best reubens wherever I travel, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one of the top ten reubens in Vandalia, MO. I can confidently say it was one of the best I have ever had. I am excited to try the other menu items as well, as this sandwich has set the bar high. My colleagues also had positive experiences with their menu choices. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try – you won't be disappointed.

I was blown away by my experience at this hidden gem today! The French fries were amazing and the beef patties on my burger were so fresh and tasty. I can't wait to come back again soon. Keep up the fantastic work! Thank you!

The pizza, and sweet chili wings are great, and you can't go wrong with their cheeseburgers.

Pizza was really good, especially for a bowling alley. The Pepsi that we had there was out of a can but still ok. Since I was there for a party I didn't really get to see what the food prices were. They did have my size in shoes, 14, and as usual the shoes had not been worn a lot as you can imagine from the size. The provided balls seemed pretty decent for community balls. I have large hands so as usual it was impossible to find a proper ball for me. That's not a take away from this place though as that is typical. They did have two ramps for the kids to use. The scoring screens seemed to be newer. They were LCD art least. The scoring system was also fairly easy to navigate as well which is always a bonus. Now for the negative, the bathrooms were very small and there is only 8(? Lanes so bowling is limited. The decor is dated but hey, your bowling who cares.
