Families come from all over the region for the Sunday dinner and its wonderful to see 3 or more generations sitting down together, talking and enjoying each other's company. And then there's the food. Plate after plate of delicious and utterly fresh local food (most from the agriturismo). You can tell how much care and attention goes into each meal, starting right from how it is produced (mostly organic). From appetizer to dessert, everything was wonderful and satisfying. There is no fussiness here. For the amount and quality of food, price was reasonable.
Avoiding the seen-it-all-before Italian food can be hard in this beautiful country. ..But not this time! La Fuga gracefully combines unmistakably fresh local ingredients with a smart and colourful approach to traditional food. Their dishes are not ornately presented but beautiful nevertheless. Rather than getting lost in complicated menus, we were fed a unknown number of dishes, simply based on the products that were available on that day (with the single choice of stating if vegetarian, vegan or otherwise). Portions were very generous, however, with a style of cooking free from butter or heavy dressings, we surprisingly ended up not feeling too full. We started with apparently innocuous but truly delicious miniature vegetable cakes, plus local cured meats and cheeses. The feather like veggie homemade ravioli, accompanied by a rocket pesto, were probably my favourite and yet more ravioli variations came and they were equally irresistible. My friends meat dishes were too memorable, I hear, with the fulsome flavours of locally farmed animals. Dessert, local liqueurs, biscuits, etc, all included in what was a perfectly affordable bill. Oh, and did I say that we had lunch under the outside pergolas and then relaxed on the deck chairs shaded by the trees (and with a beautiful countryside view)? Not least, the owner and the staff were a pleasure and a delight to deal with. Top marks all around, no doubt.

Is all very good and the managers are very kind.
We chose, on advice of friends to celebrate our wedding in La Fuga..che dire we could not make the best choice. Warm and intimate staff as well as the hostess who warmly welcomed us super Food!!! The homemade culurgiones surprised all the commensali, the delicate braised agnolotti, cut in the first category, the roast beef dissolved in the mouth and the rabbit rolled a deliciousness. We didn't make the classic wedding cake, but we opted for the sweets of the house that we just thought we still had the water so good they were.. Recommended Roberta you are super On the next occasion. .
