Feedback gevenWe visited on a lovely Sunday for lunch. Although there were a lot of us, with small children, the staff were unfazed and our food arrived quickly and was delicious. They were also setting up for a party inside- a beautiful spot for it
Make sure you get the opportunity to stop and have tea and/or light refreshments here. Even in the Australian winter you can sit outside. There is a calmness here. There is also a delightful park nearby where you can walk and admire some amazing trees.
To whom it may concern,On the 25th of May, I was part of a group of Senior Pensioners from Chester Hill Community Centre that attended there for lunch. What I would like to know is, why your waiters/waitresses kept pouring drink after drink of wine, when the deal only included one glass per person? All we knew was that the group was having lunch there.None of us asked for more wine and it should not have been constantly offered to us, when it was not requested.Coffee and Tea was also provided, but at no point was it mentioned that it was not included.Your website (which I looked at after the event) does NOT say that coffee is extra, so one could reasonably assume that it was complimentary, as it has been at so many other monthly outings we have attended. When I questioned the manager as to why the wine was constantly topped up, the answer was: "good customer service".Well, where was the "customer service" when we requested bread and butter?!!!I am appalled and view this as a MASSIVE money grab. Trick struggling pensioners and struggling Community Centres and then hit them with a massive unexpected bill !!!I will be posting this on Facebook to warn everyone I possibly can, so that they may not fall into the same predicament as we did.I wonder if ACCC and ACA may be interested also....We have never experienced such a situation before.Carol BrownSydney NSW
Went out early to the city foreshores for some Australia day celebrations. Thought the Vaucluse area would be best so we stopped in to Vaucluse House Tearooms for some breky. Pleasant atmosphere with pleasant staff in a beautiful setting.Table was a bit rickety but we made due, and the breakfast and coffees made up for that. Reasonable serving for the price. Good value with free parking in the grounds but get there before 10am. Had a great morning and afternoon after walking the beach foreshores beautiful scenery.
I walked here quite often whenever I needed a peaceful space to think, it's quiet and calm with funny kids sometimes with their parents. Love the bushes and the greeneries.
