Koganei Japanese Restaurant - Vaughan

Atmosphere and food are excellent. Ample parking. Lots of menu options. The customer service is great/warm, though sometimes could be a tad slow. Pricing is a little high, but hey, the sushi is always good quality, and I've been going here right from day 1 in 2002 as a child.

The BEST sushi I've ever tried in my life! All the staff working there is soo nice and polite. The spicy tuna hand roll is a must, it's so delicious. All the food I tried was fresh which is very important. For dessert I had deep fried cheesecake and it's also the best I've ever tried. Go check out this place! ???? 10/10

Ehhhhhh.... The place is decorated really nicely and the staff is super friendly but the menu is so big like multiple pages it was very overwhelming as new customers, if you like options sure go for it.My husband and I love trying new restaurants but the food also fell pretty short. We ordered a pork don it was definitely overcooked, not very flavourful even with the sauce, and served with too much rice. Some sushi pieces truly carried the meal to just enjoyable enough to not walk out sad. Even the deep fried soft shell crab was dissapointing.And when we were ready to wrap up with one last order of 4 sushi pieces, it took very long to be served. With an over $100 bill in the end, we felt....unfulfilled. We've had better sushi at less than $100.

GOTTA be one of the TOP 3 in Vaughan for authentic Japanese cuisine. Outstanding variety of seafood including Fresh Lobsters. They have several dining room seating options, including intimate rooms like what I experienced in Osaka. They are above average in every way. Very reasonable prices and delicious plates. Very talented chefs, excellent service. Excellent choice for pleasure or business. Extensive menu, so take your time, and order to your preferences.

This is the first review I have ever written about a restaurant but I felt so strongly about my experience I had to write one.The sushi did not taste fresh, I told the person taking my order I was allergic to cucumber and to not put any instead they put cucumber in every sushi even ones that didn’t need it and I asked for spicy mayo on all the sushi they put 0 spicy mayo. Go spend your money elsewhere like shiny if you want good sushi in Vaughan.
