Loukoumania Cafe - Vaughan

Best freddo espresso around Toronto area, and best loukoumades ever. Even better than the homemade from yiayia. Nice greek music. Nice service. The only thing is the cleaning... it needs some work there, the toilets and even the tables at some point.

The donuts here are excellent, but the service at the Rutherford location is quite poor. The staff members serving us were very unfriendly. When I requested an extra box to separate the donuts, they reacted as if it was a big issue.

I've visited this restaurant about three times with my husband, who is originally from Greece and moved here a few years ago. We discovered this place a few months ago and have really enjoyed our visits each time. I’ve tried the fredo espresso, loukoumades, and bougatsa. The service can be a bit slow at times, so I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re in a hurry. However, the food and drinks are excellent. I ordered the bougatsa first thing in the morning, and it was fantastic. The loukoumades are made to order, so just be patient. Overall, I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

There’s a bit of a wait, but it’s definitely worth it. The coffee is quite bitter (likely perfect for coffee enthusiasts), and the desserts and iced teas are fantastic! My second visit was just as good, with excellent service. The staff is extremely friendly. I really enjoy their food!

I really like this place, but I have to say that the customer service has been severely lacking lately. The staff has been rude, they’ve closed before their posted hours, and they keep changing the rules. For instance, during my last visit, I was told I couldn't add two toppings to my ice cream, even though I’ve been doing that for years. I even offered to pay extra for the additional topping, but they outright refused and said it wasn’t possible. They also told me they couldn’t put strawberry puree into my cup, so I asked for it on the side, and they reluctantly provided it in a small cup. It’s just very confusing. I strongly suggest that management either retrain or replace some of the staff. This experience is really making me hesitant to return. I took some friends with me, and they were equally disappointed by the staff's behavior, as well as their unprofessionalism and poor customer service.
