We had a fantastic dinner at al fontego dei pescatori. the garnel cocktail was different and fresh. I had the laughs, my man had the chicken paintings. while eating was excellent, the server adrianna was a highlight. their fun setting and the light. the decommissioning of my Tuscan mannes made our evening to remember. the staff was very friendly and even spoiled my man in hiis favorites after dinner coffee a pucino. while it was not on the menu, they followed eagerly his instructions. our last dinner in venice was unforgettable. also, all these tasty foods was reasonably expensive.
I am trying to find the right title for my review. this restaurant looks like a caffe, but eating is good. I think eating is Indian for home kitchen of the region, but it has cost everything well and the service was friendly...and efficient. there were also local and regular who brought me to this conclusion. I would recommend this, as I would recommend individual home cooking restaurants, rather than state-of-the-art. we all enjoyed our meal, although we were not 100% sure what we ordered. I would visit again; our bill matched all the other meal times we had in venice - I think I would have preferred to pay a little less.
An intelligent blue and white interieur sets the scene for simple yet exquisite seafood dishes: pasta with spinnenkrab; by penne del doge, with thunfisch, oliven, whitebait and kapern. end them with a delicious potent sgroppine sorbet.
Our experience in no way resembles the reviews (except the most recent). Indifferent sourcing and cooking a terrible wine list. A huge disappointment. And expensive too. Best to avoid.
