This looked nice location is excellent and there were several tables already filled (maybe about 30% of the outdoor space . Our order was taken quickly by a young waiter there were many others milling around chatting. After we'd ordered, our water arrived, but no sign of our other drinks. More patrons arrived waiters took their orders. After about 20 mins and no sign of our drinks, my husband chased them. The other tables (who'd sat down after us were already eating their meals . Another waiter came over to ask what we'd ordered for food. It was clear our order hadn't been placed. No apology, no reassurance that the food would come soon. After around 40 mins our pizza appeared. Average is the highest praise I can give. Average for a supermarket pizza that is. The bill came my husband nipped to the loo while I paid. It was exactly €40. The bill was accurate, with a cover charge added. As I was tapping my card to his machine, the waiter mentioned there was no service charge included. Good, I thought to myself, because I won't be leaving a tip. He seemed suspicious as the machine was spooling the receipt then started to walk away. I called out and asked him for my receipt. He'd put an extra €5 on the bill without my consent. I challenged him and he just repeated that service charge wasn't included. I explained that the service had been terrible. They forgot our drinks they forgot our food order. I asked for the money to be refunded. He again said they put 10% on the bill automatically for service (I'm no genius but 10% of 40 is 4, not 5! . He offered me an ice cream instead! At this point, my husband returned and could see our altercation. The waiter quickly walked away. I could have caused a scene, but honestly, I was shattered and I know, at the end of the day, it's only five euros. But I'd avoid this restaurant if you're a tourist who doesn't want fleecing.
This place is cute. It was right across from a concert we were going to and they were super helpful at getting us out in time. The food was just ok. Seasoning seemed to lack. Husband said the prawns were good but I thought they were mushy. Vegetable soup was seasoned very basically. And the bruschetta was just ok too.
Average. We were looking for a simple lovely place for a drink. It was just okish. We had to negotiate to get a table not behind the menu and the table was dirty. Waiter took long to ask what we wanted. Careless waiter not very welcoming. Drink was ok but I definitely went somewhere else for dinner.
Lobster tagliatelle again
Pros: our service was actually decent. Patio is nice and they have umbrellas for rain. Cons: more than just here but Pizza is Venice is bland and generic. There is no reason to go here other than you are super hungry and its open. Margherita Pizza was the most disappointing thing, when people say its a frozen pizza they ain't kidding, but you can get better frozen pizzas from Walmart on a low inventory day. Pan fried chicken was fine.....but generic and nothing Italian or Venetian about it, salmon dish was found to be god but again nothing special.
