Feedback gevenThe food was mediocre and the price was through the roof. They gave us a $7 half bottle of wine and charges $26 for it. Also they charge a 12% automatic tip, which is strange for Europe. Food also tasted as if it was sitting under a heat lamp, waiting for us to arrive.
We wandered across this restaurant by chance and decided to give it a go, in part due to the welcoming English speaking staff. We were not disappointed by the food it was excellent! We had prawn cocktails (warm not chilled, but we really enjoyed it like that), cured meats, spaghetti carbonara, tagliolini with prawns, and penne all arrabiata (with extra Scilian sausage), all of which were divine. The penne arrabiatta was the best pasta I have eaten. The beer, wine and cocktails were also excellent, particularly the bottle of Sauvignon. The service was pleasant with several dedicated English speaking members of staff, but they were not attentive, and the wait for food was very long I think we were there over two hours in all. Be warned though one of the most disgustingly handsome men on the planet is a waiter there, and my fiancée and daughters were reduced to gibberish when he came to take their order. Do not visit if your relationship is not strong enough to handle it!
Very nice starters: caprese and bruchetta. I also liked my mixed seafood pasta very much. My wife had a pasta with smoked salmon which also was good, but a little bit too smoky for my taste it’ just my opinion and after all, thats the why it is with smoked salmon). Very nice and friendly staff. I liked that they are not too annoyingly friendly. Location is nice by a small channel.
Excellent small restaurant on the canal, large terrace, charming staff!
Good attention and great location. a nice place to make a stop for a glass of wine and/or spritz.
