Giudecca is less crowded than other areas in Venice so I’m very into the laidback vibe. “Grilled scallops with Belgian lime butter, shallot and black truffle” is a must order the Belgian lime butter is rich but also has a refreshing whimsical lime fragrance, I couldn’t help but dip the bread with all the remaining butter sauce! The Lamb tortellini was very unique especially pairing with yellow tomato cream, usually I’m not a huge fan of red meat but the combinations of flavors were great. The waiter was knowledgeable recommending several red and white wines to pair with the dishes all of them were beyond expectations. All in all, tasty and delicate food, nice wines, comfy dining environment (elegant decorations and strong AC), welcoming service, and good price. Totally worth it!
Bread fresh and tasty Starter delicious mozzarella on tomato and strawberries sauce Salad caprese that was delicious!!! The pastas where the best in venice The dessert left us stunned it was so tasty. What a meal, what a place, what a service! Also great coffee. Thank you!!!
Nice little find. There is not a huge amount of restaurants on Giudecca but this one on the waterfront is worth a try. The different version of Tiramisu was absolutely delicious. They could do with having more non-wine drink options.
Amazing restaurant, and it is also good for a snack, coffee and desserts. I am not sure if the restaurant is currently open, last time I saw on their website it said it is temporarily closed. So maybe check before going to Giudecca, if you want to go to the restaurant. Still, it is open for coffee, and the coffee is very good.
Noticing the excellent advertising on the main island was not our primary reason for reserving a table, but I do believe the photographer and design team deserve a note of credit, as they have captured what is one of Majer Giudecca's key competitive advantages their ability to cook meats over what appears to be both wood and charcoal to bring out the very best in flavours for the meats and vegetables they grill for clients. Our meals of both the fish antipasto and tuna steak were excellent and service as always was commendable. Our hope is when we reserve next time the restaurant will have costicine di miale, as they prepare them better than any other restaurant I have known in these recent 8 years. Best wishes and our sincere congratulations on not only the success of this restaurant, but for the many throughout Venice who serve both the local and visiting population.
