La Botte Italian Bistro - Venice

My mom and I had an excellent dinner. We started with the burrata, then she had the bolognese and I had the strozzapreti mari. We both loved our meals and the service was excellent! We’ll definitely be back!

We had a bad experience our first and only time dining there. We were the first ones in the door that evening and was asked if we had a reservation. I said no to the person sitting in a chair who replied arrogantly we only take reservations…..but! Tonight I think we can accommodate you. I wanted to go to my car and call and make a reservation but I should have just left. The server introduced herself 3 times, the food was eatable at best, the wait for our food was long considering we were first in. When we got our dinner my wife ordered clam sauce over angel hair pasta and I ordered meat sauce over penne. The meat sauce was over angel hair and the clam sauce was over penne. When we left the restaurant was only a third full and checking their website you have to really search to find a owners comment about reservations. I did tip the waitress 20% as I felt bad for her.

I just love stories as these two sisters tell it. The food was reminiscent of a night in Roma. True Italian flavors. I could eat here every night. BRAVO!

I am from the North East, the New Haven Ct area where the Italian food and Apizza is known worldwide. I have to say, my entire experience here was excellent. I am pretty hard to please when it comes to food especially Italian food.. LaBotte is first class in every sense of the word. The food, the service and the staff were perfect. It was my first time here and you can be rest well assured we will be going back. Next time I’m bringing some new patrons with me. 10 Stars !!!!!!!

Very good food and nice service but the place has zero atmosphere! la Botte doesn’t have liquor and the wine selection doesn’t have pinot noir. This naturally means my espresso cannot get sambuca. On the night I was there they didn’t offer one veal dish. Whoever painted the walls had to be drunk, worst paint job i ever saw. Lastly, no tablecloths ! Felt like I was eating in a high school cafeteria. At this stage of life I want to be spoiled and eating out is something I really look forward to. A fine dining experience is more than just food.
