Skillets Venice Village Shoppes

I was tempted to give this restaurant one star to keep it from getting too crowded, but I just can't overlook the fact that the food is fantastic and truly tastes homemade. The gluten free waffles are some of the best we've ever had, perfect for anyone with a gluten allergy. Our server, Vanessa, was outstanding and really went above and beyond to assist us. Overall, this place offers great quality breakfast and lunch options at a reasonable price.

The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is friendly. I ordered the waffles with chicken sausage and poached eggs. The waffles were fluffy and light, and I finished them easily. The sausage was a bit salty for my liking, but still tasty. The coffee was good and hot, kept warm by a thermos. I will definitely return to try other dishes on the menu.

I ordered the French Omelette and it was really good. I was worried that the eggs would be overcooked, especially since it was a 'French' omelette, but they were tender and not brown at all, with a deliciously soft egg center. I was very impressed! The hash browns I got were a bit small in portion size and could have been crispier, but they were still good. The special scone of the day was chocolate chip and it was alright, but I think a simple toast would have been better.

Absolutely fantastic!!! Firstly the staff and especially our server (possibly a girl called Chelsea? It began with a C anyway.. sorry) were brilliant, couldn't do enough for us.
