Drum Loud Food - Venterstad

This place is hands down one of the best restaurants in Stellenbosch. It was an absolute treat to eat here the food was creative, generous and incredibly tasty. The wine selection was perfect I would highly suggest their Pinotage. The atmosphere of the restaurant alone is enough to make the evening worthwhile, it's like eating dinner in a cosy tree house. Additionally, the kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant so you can watch in awe as your meal is expertly and passionately prepared. I took my family here for dinner while they were visiting from Johannesburg. After their meal, they insisted that this restaurant is first on the list when they are back for another visit especially since the menu changes regularly, offering a great variety of fantastic food.

Best service I've ever received. I hadn't laughed that much in the entirety of 2020! The owners are completely hands on. You can see the chef working passionately in the kitchen and the aromas that waft through the space make you ravenous from the moment you enter. I often think about the meal I received. The gnocchi was simply delicious. The coffee sublime. A perfect night out at an unsung gem of a restaurant. I can't wait to go back!

You won't find better food or service in South Africa. The food is perfect and the atmosphere is unique to Stellenbosch. Unlike any other place in town. We had most of the February menu and would go back to try the rest. Food portions are exceptionally generous for a fine dining establishment. We left comfortably satisfied. A must visit when in South Africa.

We had a big table for my brothers birthday and I must say we where not dissapointed. One advantage of the big table was that we could taste a lot more. The Menu is not big but damn it is good. I started with the Chef's choice filled Pasta, but tasted everything else and honestly you cannot go wrong. For the main course I tried the Moskou's meal of the day which was Gnocchi.....I am not a Foodie but oooo my goodness the Gnocchi is about as close as I have come to discovering the meaning of life. Desert was a very nice Pear Tart and again it was faultless. Along with the great food, we received great service and they played really good music. It is a pricey experience but, it is delicious. The only dissapointment was the lighting for my pictures.

Where do one begin with this place. Awesome food,lekker mense and great tunes from the talented Spoegwolf lead singer. Would recommend to anyone looking for an epic experience, great food (prepared by another Spoegwolf member as Chef, Moskou) and something out of the ordinary. Also the drinks was nice and cheap.
