Banh-mi Grill - Ventura

Huh vermicelli bowl-huh had delicious grilled and tasteful update- I went back twice and got the same, but unfortunately the quality went down. it only tastes average, not sure what happened.

I love this place! everything is so good and the price is great. I am particularly excited because they have vegetarian options, I can never find pho, I can eat. bahn mis are amazing and the garnel spring rollers are always good to order. if this place ever closes, I will cry.

First. I cannot figure out why my profile says San Fransisco. I have lived in Ventura County all my life. I used to regularly eat at Banh- Mi Grill every Saturday night. Until last week when my husband was given the wrong order on a pick up order. We called to let them know that he was given the wrong meal and asked for a future credit. No big deal, they took his name and said okay. A half an hour later we received a call asking for a photo of the incorrect food. We had already finished our meals. Thankfully, my husband had taken a picture before he ate because he said that he had a feeling they were going to make it an issue. It was a $15 dollar meal. Not a big deal. More of like a we are regulars can you just make it up next time thing. They lost our business for what its worth. It was odd they waited so long to ask for a photo. If we were first timers, I understand, but my husband explained over the phone he was put off by the lack of trust and it was bad customer service. Just a bad feeling for us and we will not be back and will give our business and our future good reviews to another business.

The lemongrass beef was delicious and juicy. I tried it on Monday and went back on Tuesday with my friend and she confirmed what I thought. Delicious and juicy. You could probably eat there but I have only done take out.

Wow, if anywhere deserved a friendliest service award this place would be a top contender. From the moment we opened the door the attentiveness and friendliness of the family that run this place was outstanding. At first I was a little surprised to find out it was a take out only spot but we managed to find a picnic bench in 2 halfs outside that conveniently connected together to seat our group of 6. We ordered 4 bowls of House Special Pho and 1 pork vermicelli (Bun). Everything tasted on point! The broth was nice and not too overpowering, the meat was tender and the portion size was acceptable. I did wish the Bun came with an egg roll like most Vietnamese places but they made up for it by giving us some shrimp crackers as an appetizer. Area is a tad sketchy and parking was adequate. We were staying at the Crowne Plaza nearby which was surrounded by good food already but needed my Pho-fix, glad I found one just a mile away.
