I had Korean short ribs with rice and a fried egg and eggrolls. Prior to ordering this time I did order before and had the lomo saltado which was a flop! Nowhere near to what it was supposed to taste so let's leave that to the Peruvians please. Now the Korean short ribs and eggrolls were a hit for me!! It tasted as it was supposed to taste, the flavors were ALL there. I added a fried egg cuz that's just how I always ate it in Miami. Now I'm not mad at the eggroll which is really a springroll and it was simple BUT delish, I could've eaten the entire order but it was so much food that I couldn't finish none of it.
The Victoria shopping center needs a little touch up, so the outside doesn't look like much, but their sandwiches are delicious! As we were walking towards the restaurant, there was a homeless man standing outside. He wasn't a bother but he had a strong odor it was really unsettling to receive that first impression upon entrance. When we were inside, there was another unpleasant odor of cleaning products. We shrugged it off and ordered a #15: grilled chicken banh mi sandwich. There was a communication barrier as the staff didn't speak very much English. We pointed at our order on the menu. As we were paying, you can see the staff making our order in the back. They prepared the grilled chicken by microwaving the piece and adding sauce that was on the bottom off the shelf. So unsanitary. Watching the preparation was unappetizing considering it is not freshly cooked. Regardless, we ate our sandwich and it was good, but I don't find myself coming back.
This location is open on Sundays. The one in Oxnard isn't. I was craving authentic Banh Mi on a Sunday, so I came here. I was expecting consistency with the other location, or better yet, to be wowed even more. The staff is young and friendly. So let's get into the food. Spoiler alert: they do not use the same recipes as the ones in Oxnard. And I wouldn't say I like it. The Banh Mi bread has too much baking soda, which results in a bland and airy flavor to it. Everything tastes sour, with too much fish sauce as the aftertaste. The sandwich and the Pho soup tasted spoiled with too much Unami, but in a bad way...it was like eating a bucket of stinky fish sauce! Even the colors of the soup and the sauce on the Banh Mi were off. The grandparents run the location in Oxnard, and you can tell they've perfected the recipe over time. This one visit has turned me off from this Ventura location altogether, and I'll wait until Mondays to satisfy any Vietnamese cravings. Go to the location near Harbor Blvd instead, to get an incredible Banh Mi experience!
Delicious vegetarian options! Veggie rice vermicelli, garlic noodles with tofu, and pop corn tofu were very tasty and were generous portions. Wish I knew about this spot sooner
I recently had the pleasure of getting take-out from Banh Mi Paris Sandwiches with a co-worker, and we were both thoroughly impressed. We decided to try their Lomo Saltado Plate, which turned out to be a culinary masterpiece. The dish offered a perfect fusion of flavors that tantalized our taste buds and left us wanting more. The Lomo Saltado was cooked to perfection, with the meat being tender and juicy, while the accompanying vegetables were fresh and crisp. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying meal that was worth every penny. On previous visits, we have also tried their sandwiches, and they have never let us down. Each sandwich is a flavor-packed delight, featuring fresh ingredients and perfectly toasted bread. They are hearty and fulfilling, making them an ideal option for a quick lunch. In summary, Banh Mi Paris Sandwiches is a hidden gem that serves up delicious food alongside excellent service. It’s a place that consistently impresses with its quality and flavor. We will definitely return for more, and I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a great meal.
