My husband and I booked them for our wedding in October 2022 at the Santa Barbara Woman's Club and we are so grateful that we did. They are kind, communicative, and went above and beyond to answer our questions and accommodate our requests. Their pricing is very reasonable and a great value, especially compared to other Santa Barbara/Ventura caterers. Their service on the day was stellar, the food was amazing and beautifully presented, and we got tons of compliments from our guests on the quality of their food and service! Lorraine, Glenn and the entire team are true professionals, they are great at what they do and I can't recommend them highly enough. We chose Lorraine Lim for our June 2020 wedding in summer of 2019 after a delicious tasting and just a great connection with Glenn and Lorraine. When the world shut down and we had to reschedule not once, but twice, the team was able to work with us. When our rescheduling led to a change in menu, Glenn answered all our questions and made everything match our vision while still being in budget. Working with Glenn leading up to the wedding was easy, and he was so helpful! The day of the wedding celebration was absolutely perfect. All of the staff was incredible, and our guests are still talking about how delicious the tacos and signature cocktails were! We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for great food, easy communication, and wonderful people! Thanks for everything Lorraine Lim. It's hard to believe that after 3 years of working together, we finally did it!
Lorraine Lim Catering catered our wedding in August 2021, and we could not recommend them more. Glenn and Lorraine were a delight to work with, extremely responsive, and genuinely caring. We're still getting compliments from our guests about the food and their team's exceptional service even 3 months later. Glenn and Lorraine worked with us through two tastings to craft a menu that was not only delicious but able to be adapted to suit dietary restrictions. Our guests were so impressed at their servers for greeting them by name to confirm dietary restrictions before dinner began. Every random ask and need we had throughout the planning process was no problem Lorraine Lim Catering had thought of every nuance and small detail from the full kitchen build to chilling our 6L bottle of champagne to making sure the bride and groom actually ate. (Glenn literally hand delivered a bowl of ice cream to me as if he knew that's exactly what I wanted talk about surprise and delight! We also did a full bar but brought in our own alcohol Glenn helped us confirm what to buy, and their bartenders were so organized and had great energy throughout the evening. Total pros! Passed appetizers: Oysters in the half shell (Kumamotos and Pacifics with mignonette sauce Chicken satay with Thai style peanut sauce BLT crostini with basil aioli Dinner: Ojai orange balsamic salad Beef tenderloin with thyme garlic butter brandy peppercorn sauce Salmon with tamari soy ginger scallion sauce Summer vegetable quinoa pilaf Rosemary roasted potatoes seasonal vegetables Desserts: McConnell's of Santa Barbara ice cream bar Chocolate cake with hazelnut mousse (small wedding cake for cutting Chocolate pot de creme Summer stone fruit tart with mascarpone Late night snacks: Oven baked tater tots with garlic aioli ketchup Thank you Glenn, Lorraine, and team for just being such incredible partners and delivering such an incredible experience to us and our guests on our wedding day!
Very professional and thorough and awesome food! Glenn and Eugene went the extra mile for our wedding. We were a half hour late, and they accommodated this challenge with skill and patience. Great communication along the way in prep for our day; attention to detail; prompt, friendly replies to all our changes and needs. Highly recommended!!
Exceptional service and great food an all around wonderful experience! We spent a year wondering whether or not we would be able to have an actual reception with food after our daughter's 5.15.21 wedding... in the end our 35 guests enjoyed the fare (cocktails, appetizers and dinner) tremendously. Glenn bent over backwards for our MUCH smaller than planned event: his knowledge, assistance, responsiveness, sympathy, patience and willingness to flex in the face of a pandemic will always be remembered and appreciated. He even sent a thank you note afterwards class all the way. We can't recommend highly enough!
