Feedback gevenMy family and I visited this family owned establishment twice during our 1 week stay in Verchaix during April 2012 The food was unbelievable.
A menu of the market with an excellent quality / price ratio... Typical and simple.Family friendly. No dogs inside.
An excellent family-run restaurant in a village you may drive past without stopping. We had the 'menu' of the day: three excellent courses at a very reasonable price. The service was extremely friendly. If you are holidaying in the vicinity (eg Samoens, Morillon), it is definitely worth a detour to Verchaix d'en haut (which is only a very short drive up the mountain from the main road).
You have to go up to verchaix chef place to discover this restaurant (with outdoor terrace) offering a menu of the day and a short but which suits everyone, not offering only mountain specialties but also fish (following arrival: will make leman, perches etc.) the entrance (tiramisu to fresh goats) was really gouty, idem for the croute: you feel the quality and freshness of the most chosen products. a adviser if you are to Verchaix/Morillon/Samoëns
If you are tired of savoyard specialties at excessive prices, we recommend this address. The welcome is very friendly: the benevolent and accommodating boss is more humorous. In the kitchen, the boss works...For 18 euros, he offers you a complete menu made of fresh and original dishes (notably an excellent pears shotamisu) and all this one Saturday night! we couldn't find any better in the corner!pascale and dominique
