This is rated elsewhere as a class restaurant . It aims to be no more than a decent cafe serving good simple dishes . Nat herself is charming .
The steak was like trying to eat leather - fries not really up to par, the plat du jour went earlier for all the construction workers to eat there regularly, so not much left. Really disapointing for France where you can almost always get a respectable "steak-frites" or a nice plat du jour. Definitely not worth a detour......We would recommend trying a restaurant or brasserie in the center ofVerdun which is a very pretty town. Chez Nat is out of the way, and like walking into a tobacco shop full of smoke with a back room as a restaurant.
We were at this restaurant for lunch on August 4th. You can choose the menu of the day (7,5 €) or entree, main course and dessert (12 €). There are different choices for entree, main course and dessert. We parked our car on the parking lot of the Citadelle Souterraine (about 300 meters).
