Picked up food and saw food sitting but nobody was therr to give me it as sign said customers cannot take it. After few minutes someone came out and gave me the food. Only 2 tables had customers in the restaurant and there was one other order waiting for pickup. They were not that busy and this is a long tine compared to other Indian restaurants I have been to to wait for an order. Once home, opened up the food. The naan was fine, and curry dish fine, however the onion bhaji was not what I have ever had as onion bhaji. It was onion rings that quite honestly could have been from a frozen package at the grocery store. This is not what is pictured on their website as you can see by the attached photos. I called to raise my concern and management felt this was just a different way to prepare it and was really not apologetic for the photos reflecting the food they offer and just reasoned it being that way. Based on this experience and not being refunded still after he agreed to refund me for them, I will not return and will dispute the charges as I never received what I ordered.
I’ve been going to Aroma for nearly 10 years, and I wholeheartedly believe they are the best Indian restaurant that I have found. Having lived in Chicago and had Indian cuisine in multiple countries while traveling, Aroma’s selection and quality is far superior to all of them. Great place to bring friends, family, or coworkers. The servers are super personable and Jay, the owner, is extremely friendly and its evident that he cares about the authenticity of the dishes. I’ve been to Aroma at least two dozen times over the years, and I’ll keep coming back and recommending Aroma to friends and family that want a high quality, authentic Indian cuisine experience. Love this place!
This is one of the great restaurants I have visited in a long time and turns out I am their regular now. The owner of the restaurant Jay is so friendly and welcoming he literally described each and every dish to me and helped me pick the best one according to my taste. The one I tried absolutely loved was butter chicken and now I order it most of the time. The dish turned out the same as the owner Jay described it. They really know what they are doing and oh man all the dishes taste so good. One more thing that I loved here is they ask you the spice level for every dish and makes it accordingly they have mild/medium/spicy/hot which is such a great initiative I have never seen any restaurant to do this. Thank god that they are near my place. Here’s to more visits and carry outs at Aroma
Amazing food! I had the lamb vindaloo with saffron rice and Lacha Parantha. Delicious and worth the wait! My family and I used to come here a lot when I was a child and it was so much fun taking my spouce here! Nostalgic and delicious!
The flavor and presentation of the meal was lovely, and the service was phenomenal! Russell was friendly and made sure our experience was top notch. At one point my daughter looked over to him and he came to the table to make sure we didn't need anything. This is the mark of someone who is really paying attention to his customers. The manager also greeted us and checked in at the end of the meal. The extensive and affordable menu might have suggested a compromise on quality, but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a wait for the food because everything was made to order. All arrived piping hot with perfectly balanced spices and beautiful presentation, indicative of a chef who is excellent at their trade. Because of the texture of the onions, I could tell that even the nans were freshly made. We will definitely return when we're in the area!
