Sushi Kawa - Vernon

Omg I'm so happy these guys are open again!! I swear they're even better now then they were before- I didn't even know that was possible. The staff are all really super great too.

I visited this restaurant for the first time in about five years. The last time I was here was right after their All You Can Eat promotion ended, and I found the prices to be high and the food not very tasty. Today, I decided to give them another try. The service was exceptionally friendly, both the server and cashier were great. The restaurant was very clean and everything was continuously sanitized. They have a large cherry blossom plant in the middle of the tables, which was beautiful but a bit inconvenient as it was hard to avoid hitting it with my shoulders and head when moving around. The menu is limited for vegetarians compared to other Japanese restaurants in the downtown area, with only a few roll options and a handful of vegetarian dishes. The soda selection was also limited today. The food was decent, although the tempura did not quite hit the spot for me like it usually does. The vege spring rolls were a good value, offering six rolls for the price of one at most other places. The music and decor were very nice, and they still have the bells on the tables from their All You Can Eat days. On the way out, they give you a mini Lindt chocolate instead of mints, which was a nice touch. Overall, my meal of vege spring rolls, assorted tempura, and a Coke Zero came to $17 after tip and tax. I would recommend giving this place a try!

Really good and fresh sushi. Probably the second best sushi place I’ve ever been too. The mango paradise was very good with a tiny hint of spice while being a bit sweet with the mango slices, the rainbow rolls were good and my personal favourite was the unagi rolls, Great tasting sauce and the unagi was perfect. If I ever come to Vernon again this place is a must go!

The beginning was a bit awkward, but we were very satisfied with the mango paradise roll and Alaska roll. My partner ordered the red dragon and beauty beast rolls, both of which were delicious. I was hoping for more flavor in the beauty beast roll, but it was still enjoyable. Overall, it was a fitting choice for our sushi date, which is "our thing."

They are very friendly and have great staff. I just hoping this expansion from them and us waiting a life time to reopen. That they bring back the ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET AGAIN I'D EASILY PAY 30+ PER PERSON FOR THAT HELL YEAH I WOULD HAHAHA
